Lee Anne Jackson - Photographer
Hi, First of all, I would like to thank you for stopping by! I am a mom to one super sweet boy and wife to a wonderful, supportive husband, and without either of these two men in my life, I wouldn't be where I am today.
I didn’t start with a digital camera. I started with film. Before instant previews, before you could take 500 shots and hope one worked — I was learning photography the slow, deliberate way. Traditional 35mm. Medium format. Every frame cost something, so every frame had to count. That foundation changed the way I see everything. After some training at Fanshawe College and years of working in film, I made the move to digital — but I brought everything with me. The patience, the eye for light. The belief that a photograph should feel like art, not just a record of what happened. Then I became a parent, and everything shifted again. Suddenly, I understood, in the most personal way, what it means to watch a moment disappear before you can hold onto it. The weight of a newborn in your arms. The way they smell. How impossibly small their fingers are. How fast it all goes. That’s why I do this. Red Balloons Photography was born from that intersection — fine art training and a parent’s heart.
I specialize in maternity, newborn, infant, milestone, and family photography right here in London, Ontario, and I’ve been doing it for over 12 years. Every session I photograph, I bring the same intentionality I learned from film. I’m not here to take snapshots. I’m here to make artwork — the kind you hang on your wall, pass down to your kids, and look at decades from now with a full heart.
What to Expect: Sessions at Red Balloons are calm, unhurried, and completely child-led. There’s no rushing, no forcing, no “just one more.” We move at your baby’s pace — because the best moments can’t be scheduled, they can only be caught.
My home studio in London is warm, safe, and stocked with beautiful props and outfits for every age. And when the light is right, and the weather cooperates, I love taking sessions on location too. Every gallery comes with high-resolution digital images and a print release — because your photos deserve to live beyond a screen.
A Note on Printed Artwork: Film taught me that photographs are meant to be held. That’s why I offer a full range of fine art printed products — from framed wall prints and canvases to heirloom albums and gallery wall sets. Because a photo on your phone is lovely, but a 16x20 canvas above your fireplace? That’s something your grandchildren will see.
Credentials & Experience 12+ years specializing in newborn, maternity & family photography. Some formal photography training at Fanshawe College, but mostly self-taught. I have a Background in traditional 35mm and medium format film photography.
